Six months of building authority in public.
Does the system we sell work when we run it on ourselves? Here is what happened, with the numbers as they stand on October 18, 2026, including the parts that are not impressive yet.
A new entity with an old domain.
postedby.ai began publishing through its own platform on June 13, 2026. The domain had history from an earlier, unrelated product, so search engines had a stale picture of what the name meant. The company was new, the founder was unknown to search, and there was no body of articles, mentions, or profiles to point to. That is the same place most of our customers start from.
The same system every customer gets.
- Set up one Champion voice (the founder) and let the system learn the business.
- Published one long-form article a week to the hosted Authority Library, with Article, Organization, Person and FAQ structured data, canonical URLs, and index checks.
- Turned each week's topic into a Google Business Profile post, a LinkedIn post, and an Instagram post.
- Kept the cadence for 19 straight weeks instead of running a launch campaign and stopping.
- Pulled Google Search Console impressions, clicks, and index status for every article back into the platform.
- This month: unified the company, product, founder, and website entities (one canonical ID each) and added a public company page.
The numbers, as of October 18, 2026.
Reading the Google number honestly: 1,094 of those 1,247 impressions came from one unrelated query that a single article happened to rank for. The impressions that matter, on queries about authority publishing, AEO, and GEO, are still in the low hundreds. 3 of 27 tracked rankings are on page one. Social reach is small: 440 impressions and 13 interactions across 52 measured posts. We publish these because a case study that only shows the flattering numbers is not one.
Publishing is half of authority.
Nineteen weeks of owned publishing produced exactly what it should: a body of indexed, well-structured content, a consistent entity, and a measurable start on search presence. It did not, by itself, produce recognition. Authority has two sides.
Owned authority
What the business publishes about its own expertise: articles, posts, structured business information, a hosted library. This is what the platform automates, and it is now in place for postedby.ai.
Earned authority
What other websites, customers, publications, directories, and people say about the business. This cannot be automated. For postedby.ai it is the work of the next six months: customer case studies, directory listings that reflect the current product, interviews, and local mentions.
The honest conclusion: the owned foundation is built, and we are now deliberately expanding the earned side. That is the same advice we give customers, and the order matters. Earned mentions land on an entity that search engines already understand.
Where postedby.ai sits today.
- Exists Site, product, and company entity are live and consistent.
- Indexed 35 of 42 articles are in Google's index.
- Entity established Organization, founder, product, and website entities carry one canonical ID each as of this month. Not yet confirmed by a knowledge panel.
- Owns branded search No branded query data to show yet. The domain also carries history from an earlier, unrelated product, which has to be outweighed.
- Externally referenced A handful of directory listings and customer libraries link here. Not yet a body of independent mentions.
- Recognized in category
- Frequently recommended
- Category authority
Stages are claimed on evidence, not ambition. The same ladder will be used for customer case studies as they are authorized.
