Hebrews 10:35-36

Scripture: Hebrews 10:35-36 — Today, we reflect on the theme of perseverance—an essential quality that enables

Some days the road feels longer than we expected. We pray, we wait, and the same burden is still there.

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

— Hebrews 10:35-36

Today, God is not asking you to pretend the struggle is small. He is calling you to hold on, because your confidence in Christ is not wasted. Perseverance is how faith keeps walking when the path is hard and the promise still feels far off.

Hebrews speaks to tired believers, people who know what it is to keep going when strength is thin. Do not throw away your confidence, the writer says. That confidence is not in yourself, but in the faithful God who has already carried you this far.

There are seasons that feel like wilderness, with no clear map and no quick relief. In those places, perseverance becomes worship. Every step of obedience says, Lord, I trust You even here.

And God uses that steady faithfulness to shape us. What feels slow to us is never wasted in His hands. He is forming in you a deeper trust, a Christlike endurance, and a heart that can receive what He has promised.

A Word of Prayer

Lord, give us grace to keep trusting when we feel weary. Strengthen our hearts to persevere in faith, and teach us to wait with confidence for all You have promised in Christ. Amen.
