Some days we wake up carrying more than we can name, and the weight shows in the small things, in our short patience, in our tired prayers.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
In Christ, your past is not your final identity. Paul reminds us that when we belong to Jesus, God does not merely improve us, He makes us new. Today, we can live from that truth instead of from the old labels that still try to speak.
The old may still knock at the door, but it does not get to sit at the table of our heart. Shame, fear, regret, and failure are not the voices that define us anymore.
When Christ makes us new, He gives us a different center. We do not have to drag yesterday into today like a heavy bag we were never meant to carry. His mercy meets us in the present.
So if you feel behind, weary, or disappointed in yourself, hear this gently. In Jesus, God is not finished with you, and what He has begun is real.
A Word of Prayer
Father, thank You for making us new in Christ. Help us let go of the old and walk today in the grace, freedom, and hope You have given us. Keep our hearts fixed on Jesus, and teach us to live as people who belong to You.
